One of the contestants, "Rowdy" Dowdy is a fake. He made up all kinds of Alaskan adventures and even photo-shopped himself into another bow hunter's big brown bear picture. The guide that actually guided the bear alerted the real hunter. It just went way down hill from there. The show knows about it but has chosen to air it anyway.

Pathetic looser!!!

Not sure of final selection .....but on the nock out tv web page there is an application .... The first season is a trial for NBC sports to check ratings ... unfourtunatly I dont think its availible on the Canadian tv market .... I will post links on the youtube when they become available...
I was asked via pm how i was made aware of this show..... I was sent the link from a bow manufacturer

Enjoyed the first show and will probably follow the show, but I think they should do next season with longbows.

Hey BC Quiver , The consenus is that newer Longbow speeds match Recurves why exclude Recurves ? At least there would be enough paricipants . LOL
It will never happen as financial profits in the Tradition field are not enough for active commercialism . For example , a good Compound sight could cost more than most Trad Bows .

I was thinking the same thing as BC Quiver but you make a very good point, Greybark. I guess I won't hold my breath for this kind of competition with less wheels and pulleys lol

Didn't mean to exclude recurves, should of posted traditional bow. But I hear you on the commercialism part. Maybe they could have one episode where they all have to shoot traditional at moving targets, ah there I go again.
