Hey, we got one last year for all kinds of critters. I recall it taking about 3 weeks.

About 4-6 weeks for the ones I have gotten.

would put in a couple months ahead of time at the minimum. Very few staff doing it, and one of the folks who processes is ill.

Sometimes its fast, sometimes its the full 8 weeks they recommmend. Give them as much time as you can.

This year for our bros hunting trip up the tuchodi in 7-50, I went down to the Service B.C. and had them fax the paper work off on May 24th, and recived the approved e-mail on July16th. This has been the quickest so far of the 4 times I have applied.

Question... reading a bit on this subject, it says that you are not able to host more that two hunters per year (or hunting year at least). Does that mean a guy can host two guys at one time? Or is it just a one on one thing?

I believe it is one hunt but you could have 2 guys, maybe BcBillies will see this and chime in.

I recall you can take two guys at one time. Have to pull the old paperwork to confirm.

I just confirmed . . . you are good to go with the two on one!

I thought that was supposed to be good when you looked at it a couple of years ago for the goat trip we had planned.

One bc resident can take two non residents at once. Can only get one permit per year

I would put in right now. Dealing with it last minute doesn't work. 8 weeks minimum is my suggestion.

I've got them as quick as 6 days. Fall is way busier.

Very few staff doing it, and one of the folks who processes is ill. I wonder what would happen to the system if that person died? I guess they'd have to quit giving out Permits to Accompany? Reminds me of my Cousin, she was going to move to Saudi Arabia, her Husband worked over there. He had being trying to get her a Permit to move over there with him, after a few months he went down town to the office where they gave out the Permits. He asked the guy behind the counter if he knew where his Permit application was, and why it was taking so bloody long! The guy behind the counter reached into a row of wooden box's behind him on his left side and grabbed his paper work, with a smile he said "Your applications on the wrong side of the shelves, to get the Permit it has to be on this other side he said, and pointed to a row of box's on his right" Well said Bob, how do I get my papers to the right side??? The clerk smiled and rubbed his hands together in the world wide jester of " Give me Money"!!! So, Bob pulled out about 50 bucks in our money, put it on the counter and the guy put the papers into the box on the right side! He got the Permit that week!!! I wonder if that'd work over here???

I spoke with the office a couple of weeks back to understand the requirements. One of the things they told me is there is a date in june or july I believe, linked somehow to the LEH's. Anyways, they don't do anything till after that date as regions can and do have restrictions for PTA that layer on top of everything else. Their advice to me was get it in as early as possible and that they are processed first in first out.

Last year I put in for one the first week in April and we didn't get a response until the end of June or early July. Can't quite remember.
