Great pics.
I would rather see that buck in my yard every day than shoot it. I'm willing to bet EastKoot feels the same way.

haha.
and probably several salt-blocks in the backyard also.

I agree with stalker, i'd rather enjoy this fella gracing me with his presence than shooting him.
now, if he was out in my hunting grounds, then all bets are off.

He's just a local town deer that comes into the yard occasionally..Taken from the kitchen window. And yes, rather watch him every day as shoot him!!

Nice buck..i dream of drop tines like that, would take a unique character buck over a bigger typical any day

Sofa King
08-02-2013, 01:43 PM
is it known what exactly causes a drop-tine?

outside of a very large, very thick, perfect 4X4, a sweet double, drop-tine buck would be ideal.

This buck is Mr. Cool right now, but he's got some big boyz to face come late October Rover, this buck is a beauty but still quite narrow for width, below 20 inches inside spread. Other than that needs some more mass to get the Ca$h, give this stud buck another two seasons and WHOA! Yah, whoa, Jel ( Joe E ) Lawrence says, " WHOA!"

If I seen this baby coming towards me on a ridge in Kammy during the muley rut, I'd have to try a shot, lol .. when summer coat and velvet, turns to steel grey and polished bone, my knife I would have to hone. When the bullet hits the bone. Golden Earring.

lol I know I was just being that sarcastic #$$@&%^............but on the other side of that we seem to find Mule deer bucks every year in the Alpine and we only spend 10 days a year there.....nothing huge so far but 140-160 class bucks don't seem to be a problem to locate.
