Looks like the 91 Quadrunner might have given-up the ghost! Sad thing is: I only use the quad during the hunting season. A two week moose extravagenza and a couple deer weekend hunts. Seeing that the Arctic cat 400 is on sale now at about 5K, is it a good value for you butget strapped hunters. Any other recommendations in that range?

i am sorta in the market for a quad, i looked at the a/c 400, not bad but i looked at the Polaris 400 afterwards and for $400 more it seemed way better built ($5400 plus tax and pdi), also it is actually about 90cc larger. This was at sea to sky.

FYI Arctic cat 400 is only 366cc, the polaris 400 is 455cc, not sure if that matters to you but it may if you plan dragging something big around :)

there are 2 brands that I will not buy, and they have both been mentioned already! Yamaha, Can-Am, Kawasaki, Honda and Suzuki in that order

I have a 2003 Arctic Cat 500 and have never had any issues with it. It's packed and pulled moose and elk out numerous times

Im glad to hear that,,I dont like seeing people having a headache when theyre supposed to be enjoying themselves,,ie,,the guy with the wheel bearing out of his fifth wheel trailer, and his wife and kids standing on the side of the hwy...We all base our opinions on personal experience or the experiences of those around us. My buddy still loves his Cats, although after 2 new transmissions, 1 new engine, 4 clutches, 1 rear diff, and numerous electrical issues you would think he would hate them,,I know if I had that kind of continous trouble with my Grizzlies, Id give them away. Luckily, my Yamis have had no issues at all, and we run em hard

i bought a used 2007 Suzuki Vinson 500 this year! What a work horse and tons of power and torque for pulling my trophy's out haha (wishful thinking).. Quick question for you atv owners now that we are on the topic. I have a 2006 Dodge Ram mega cab 1500 with a 6'3 box. I wanna tow my travel trailer as well as have my quad in the truck but of course the tail gate won't close. Im looking at building a box in the front to jack up the front end of the quad to gain some length. Anyone know how high i need to make the box or ramp to get me like 4 inches more space so i can close the tail gate?

I put a set of cheap car ramps for my front tires to go up on (less than a foot high) and I can get my tailgate up on my Dodge
