Just a heads up to those who hunt the 4-24 area. There are major wash outs on a lot of forest service roads. One main road hit is the White River road. Bridges are impassable and washouts all along the river. Talked to some loggers up there and they're not sure if and when some of these rds will be fixed.Do your homework because where you used to hunt , you may not have access.

LOTS of problems in the Elk and Fording valleys. Put on well over 300km on the quad in the last week and it aint pretty up here. On the plus side, there appears to be some nice looking new fishing holes. Water is now clear enough to wash some hooks. Mickey

I am doing my homework.I was just past whiteswan last weekend and the bridge was out. They were redecking some old bridges down the whiterock fsr cause they are going to log that area. I think they plan on fixing the one bridge .Another couple of guys had to go up the Palliser on quads to go around and come down the north white and they said it was a mess and one of them was logging in the area I was referring to , he's been off for three weeks.. Unless the area your friends are going up is from the munroe lake side. I haven't heard how bad that are is yet.

Been in the EK quite a few weekends this summer, some of the slides/washouts are jaw droppers.

Also been seeing mulw deer all over the place, weird..

The bull river road is also washed out in numerous places. At one point , the new river channel is flowing directly down the road for approximately 1 km. not even passable with a quad at this point.lots of work ahead of them. Doubtful it will be passable before hunting season.

Talked to my buddy from Radium and the word on the street is they are going to punch a road into the North White FSR from the park side and get out there logs and equipment and then de- activate the road when they're done. So basically the North White and Lower North White will be inaccessible unless you quad in. Lots of miles tho on a quad. Not sure for how long they will leave it like that

anyone know if they have repaired the road going from white swan up the white river to the north white. Last time I was there was 3 weeks ago and there was a barricade up still .
