So I was just wondering if anyone has hunted region 6 moose oct 1 to oct8 th and how successful it is ? I do know where to go its just one of my options would like some input .

funny you ask...just spoke to a guy yesterday who's uncle has lived there for 30 years...he said the wolves have kicked shit out of the moose...must be some left tho...

Everybody cries wolf around here. I honestly don't think it's that bad. My neighbour has a trap line and only got 3 wolves all last year in his traps. When I was young their was a huge wolf pack that would run along the bottom of the Mtn behind m house and you could here them often. They aren't their anymore and it's been years since they were.
I believe the last survey said the moose population is the same as the 97 survey. And is holding strong. Sounds good to me,
ive tried some wolf hunting with no success. Dosnt mean their not around.
Also wolfs are smart and will stop breeding If their is food shortages

honesty. I have only seen 2 wolves my hole life and I spend a lot of time hunting fishing hiking and traveling logging roads.

I used to get my moose in this season with a bow every year as they are not scared to death from the rifle season yet
