does anybody have any experience with Olivon Optics, specifically looking at a spotting scope and don't think I can find it retailed anywhere to see the product first hand before buying.

It is cheap stuff. I bought an illuminated reticle 3x9 riflescope a few years back. I had it on a 243 for a bit and it now sits on a 22. It works.

pretty hard to compare something from the same manufacturer that is worth $90 and something worth $1k. That being said I would have a tough time dropping a grand on something I couldn't get my hands on first. Someone out there has gotta know something. Maybe check the bird watching community for a review or comparison.

I didnt look at the link. I figured a high end product from them would be worth $200?

the spotter is a bit of 1K...I don't expect it to compete head on with a leica or swarovsky but was wondering how it compared to other mid level spotters...the little guys can't charge the markup that the big guys can, thought it might be a decent value

I've since changed some planned purchases for my hunting gear this year, figure a quality spotter is a once in a lifetime investment, gonna shell out a few more bucks on a kowa

thanks for the input

Kowa FTW! Are you getting the 88mm?

If you are in the LMD and want a chance to look through one, PM me...I'll tell you a place in Vancouver that has samples in store for your viewing pleasure. :)
