The Cap should be heating up anytime now. I've fished it in a 12' before, you just have to pay attention to the currents. Can launch at Ambleside and troll to the river mouth.

I was heading to Langdale yesterday ( Friday ) and there were 4 boats at the Hole in the Wall - just outside Horseshoe Bay - a lone guy in a small Whaler had a fish on as we passed - never saw him land it as the ferry passed too fast - so, there was a fish there - - - Freonguy -

Terrible parking but its free. Just a few spots by the ramp
And if the river mouth is slow head over to the pink condo. You'll know it when you see it

Check the marine weather as well. Was out at the mouth yesterday in a 16 ft and we had rollers coming over the bow of the boat. Couldn't really keep a line down. I would say 75% of the boats were turning around.
