just upstream (on the liard) of the confluence between the kechika and liard. no idea on the moose there but I would think it is good. how is the access there? any lakes you can drive a canoe into?

I think you pretty much hit the nail on the head. I don't know about access other than on the river.

There is 4 or little lakes hillgren lakes I think they were called. There was a old mine site they would drive into set up watents and hunt the lakes. Then use their boat to retrieve their Bulls. They were usually very successful with 4 hunters bagging their limit every year for 15 years straight, but like I said before that was 10 to 15 years ago.Don't know what it's like now but sure like to try

It is super thick regen forest as of 2009 around hillgren lake. I guided for liard river adventures so I have seen a bit of that country. If you just sit on the lakes calling I am sure you will find moose. I just don't think it is as good as it use to be.
