And it followed me home. Was able to upgrade from my PSE to a slightly used APA King Cobra in Vanish Hybrid Camo. Put all my stuff on and set it up to do some sighting in, in the yard. The arrows are cranking out of that thing, the first shot I took slightly missed the block and the arrow exploded when it hit the fence. I've hit the fence before but I never seen an arrow do that, I definitely have some tweaking to do but I'm pumped to finally have a bow that shoots well over 300 fps. Let's see those furry buggers jump the string now :-D

nice bow.
I did a walk-thru through their factory in biggar last year.
was very impressive what they are doing in such a small little building.
if I ever upgrade from my AR, i'll probably try an APA.

sweet. I know a guy from here that shoots an APA and its quite nice. Pretty fast too. He was getting slightly under 300fps at 27" dl and I think a little under 60# DW

Bharp let me shoot one of his arrows through it in the store, Chrono said 320fps plenty fast for me :)

Thats some pretty decent speed for sure. I don't think I will see that kind of speed from anything that I shoot. Not with my short draw length of 27.5". Is that bow a 70# ?

Not sure, ask Brian. Pretty light though.

I'm a 28" draw and yes it at 70lbs.

This is what I got when I ran my 2011 King Cobra through the chrono last year with the new #60 limbs at 27.5" draw length, G5 peep and D-loop

344 grain arrow - 318 fps
309 grain arrow - 334 fps

I can't complain.
Cheers

EDIT - I might slightly over #60 (62 or 63), don't have an accurate scale

Ran my Gold Tip Expeditions through Walker(Bandits) new Master Chrony today. 2012 APA King Cobra @ 29"draw and 70lbs with a 353gr. GT Arrow hit a consistent 320 Ft per second. Like Ike said " I can't complain".

Definitely take some of the guess work out of 3D! Fast and flat is where it's at, on unmarked 3D ranges. Have you had a chance to chrony a hunting weight arrow?

I had some arrow speed data with 380 grain arrows but I can't find it anymore.

Also, I might have to check my chrono as the speeds seem a little high, unless I am running a little higher than #60. My bows'Birth Cert' at #70 said 329 fps with a 350gr arrow.
Cheers

Those are my hunting weight arrows :) I also shot some Bemans which are 0.2 ounces more per inch. They shot an average of 312 fps still not bad for a $6 arrow.

Might as well ask, what is a good light weight stabilizer for hunting? I currently use an Octane 11" stabilizer but I'm finding that it makes carrying the bow a little awkward balance wise. It's a great stabilizer but may be a little overkill for trekking through the bush.

Beestingers are nice. Are you looking for lighter or shorter?

A little from column A and a little from column B.

A little from column A and a little from column B.

Fuse Blade 8 1/2". Light and the thin profile is very nice on windy days.
