For all you moose gurus out there, I was fortunate to draw a bull moose draw in 7-07. However unforeseen events make it look unlikely that I will be unable to be there for the all important first week of October . I probably can't get there until the 11th. Would you go last week of sept or go after the 11th. Thanks in advance

last week of Sept. Bulls will be on the move and cow calls will bring them in. Bring a big gun, lots of grizzers in that country

All the bulls I've taken up here were in the last week of September

Either time would work, the calls will bring them any time during that period and calves open up on the 10th another bonus to consider.

The problem with the last week of sept is the weather. We can still have hot weather at that time that will hurt your hunt. Oct is likely better for that, but, you will be competing with calf hunters.

If u guys read the news, the moose are all gone. No more moose in pg. but come on up, spend your money on gas.

Last week of September, for sure. Make contact, on HBC, with all the 7-07 G-bear tag holders.

Been in 7-07 plenty of times. By the 11th of Oct they are loosing interest in the call. If it was me, the last week of Sept, unless you want to take in the calf season as well

Another vote for the last week of September. I've been on a few hunts there and we always did the best the last couple of days of sept and the first couple of days in oct. Good luck!

Fantastic zone with lots of options. Last week of September for bulls (calling) unless you don't mind hunting calf season as a bonus for a partner who may be looking for a moose. I see mature bull moose during calf season all the time and probably just as many as during the rut as bulls start to go into recovery / feeding mode again.

A good choice would be to put a boat in at the lower bridge on the Bowron River and motor upstream (anywhere up to 20 km) hunting / calling off the river. Or float hunt portions of the river south of the highway (floating north will put you through canyons).

Just about anything north of Eaglet Lake to the Fraser will require the use of an atv to access given how rough most of those roads are.

Wansa / Beaver / Willow tends to get evening and weekend PG locals.

it has been said lots here all ready but last week of Sept for sure if that is one of your options, for us in a region not to far away it seems like the switch is turned on Sept 24

called moose in right up to oct 20th out there. They don't come in quite as hot and heavy but they still come. gotta get right into where they live though as they are a little less likely to travel a long ways to a call at that time. In recent years we've started focusing more on higher elevation 15-20yr old cutblocks packed with willow. They'll feed and breed right in the cutblocks if they're thick enough and it gets you away from some of the pressure in the valley bottoms.

Our group took 2 out of there last year on Oct 5th, called both out from a distance. It was very warm until the 3rd of Oct.
Bring your bear gun and a fishing rod, lots of fish in the river.

Last time I hunted 7-07 we saw 9 grizzlies and 3 moose in 5 days. Have a good hunt but be aware. sept 20 to oct 5 would be when I'd hunt.

lots of hunting pressure by then. calf hunting in oct brings out every idiot in the country. It's still possible but your odds are down. Watch the quad rules

Last week of Sept all the way, no comparison to the week of Oct 11th.
