So I didn't want any other Grizz areas than I picked,
but they gave me a draw in 6-18 anyway. Yes, I read the
box instructions carefully. So, how have others gotten into
6-18? 18' o/b jet is an option for me. Thanks for an voices
of experience.

You can access the top end of 6-18 on the Finlay Forrest service Rd. Its high country, probably good for grizz.

It sounds like there's to many grizzly bears in this area and they want some culled.

Lots of Grizz up there. Anything mountain SW of the omineca resource road will have grizz up there.

Long ways up and with the bridge out at 173 from what has been posted by NORTHERN HUNTER, it will make driving up to the east side of the zone a lot longer of a drive. There are a ton of bears up in that country though from what I've seen and talked to from guys if you can make the trek up. Some beautiful country as well!

I got 6-27 and didn't apply anywhere close to that, not going to the Tatsenshini just to grizz hunt and can't get time of for a grizz moose combo at that time anyway.

Hike in off the road. Thats the unit you pass through when you were headed to 7-39. You can probably glass right off the main road. Fall draw I presume?

I know of 5 people this happened to also! I applied for grizzly but was one of the lucky ones not to be drawn for a remote area. About time this LEH bullshit is sorted out!

Yes, fall. Ok, that helps me find my bearings. Any bull for
moose then too. I'm in camp so don't have all my resources at
hand.

I wouldn't get your knickers in too much of a knot over this. Maybe everyone that checked the box was given a tag and there were still tags to be issued. They are just throwing darts here, no need to buy the tag and feel forced to go on a hunt, although if it is that remote and has that many bears, you think they would just open up a GOS and do manditory inspections so they could closely monitor the bears being harvested.

86 bears for 6-18...........give me a break, i'll be phoning them and telling them they can keep there draw...I pretty sure if you keep the draw it will decrease your odds for next year, and I never put in for a alternate area I don't know what the heck is going on, my son also got a grizz draw for 6-17 which he never put in for . we always apply for the same place and its nowhere near this areas

The problem with getting a draw you didn't want is it will reduce your odds next year which kind of sucks. If they would have given me Brew's tag it would have been nice I can be out there hunting about 15 minutes after leaving the house :) (Brew, I sent you a pm back btw)

I put in for a small, obscure zone in 6 that is always under applied for. And darned if I didn't get it!! Man I'm lucky!

Pretty sure I know which one it is, very good fishing there if you have a boat if I'm right :)

6-18 is a slam dunk if you can get there and are willing to hike. Get to 1000-1200 metres in the huckleberry patches and sit and wait...only a matter of patients and the $$$$ in fuel. Sucks that guys are getting draws that they didn't even put in for though...

Just got off the phone with L.E.H. and they said it will reduce your odds for next year, (if you choose to keep it)I told them I didn't want it and I just have to return the authorization and it will cancel it. they said they used some new company to put in the data for the cards and they have had some issues.

I didn't know there was reduced odds for anything other than moose...

After a three year trial period and consultation with the B.C. Wildlife Federation,
this system was introduced province wide for all species except for mule deer and
white-tailed deer this is taken off the site how limited entry works
