My Uncle got a January Bison draw
My buddy screwed up his LEH card and got drawn for a Bow goat hunt, which he didn't apply for
and I don't have my # on me so I don't know the rest of the story

That was in total around 30 entries that I submitted this year for me and my family/friends. I suspect that my uncle had the lucky number and got drawn for both bison and moose which made the other 3 of us winners for the moose as well.

For all the math doubters.....

I put my 2 sons and my father in a shared application and myself as a single. My odds are reduced by 66% since I got a draw 2 years ago. That gave us 3.333 chances combined. We picked an area/season with a 10 year average of 4.0:1 odds giving us 3.333/4.0 or 83% chance. The shared hunt came through.

This will be our first 3 generation hunt and I'm really looking forward to it!

Mountain Goat in 4-20D for me this year! Only took four years of NIL results to actually get a tag! Can't wait to get out. Anyone have any tips for the area? I have hunted this area for spring black bear/elk/deer but never had a tag for goats.

Something's obviously broken. If the draws worked the way described in the LEH PDF, this would be impossible.

It's no help for you guys this year,but in split season draws I've been going for moose draws that end Sept.30th.Lower odds,everybody wants to hunt the October rut.Over a number of years I'v efound bulls responsive to calls in the last week of Sept.,through the Cariboo and as far north as McGregor.4 have gone down,so it works for me.2 years ago we had 65F weather and 50Mph wind,it looked bleak but we called in 5 bulls inthree days,and I killed one on the last evening.Something to think about,I hope it's helpful.Gunner

Didn't get my Moose draw for the area we hunt but got an anterless draw in another area. Happy with the anterless, haven't had one ever.

Sounds like a few ppl got the peace draw - congrats to JME on her first LEH.

See how it goes with the trip planned in August, possibility I might not have a tag by the time september rolls around. It's always an adventure.

The one I should NOT have drawn (yet did) due to having pulled a tag last year in a biological desert (thus no success even with 4 locals and myself POUNDING it for 10 days) and so should have had my chances halved, and against high odds - moose. http://www.sportfishingbc.com/forum/images/smilies/confused.png

well this is going to be a good year, I managed to pull a mtn goat draw for the second year in a row as well as a griz tag for the same area :)

'09 drew a cow moose (shared) in 7-13. Got a cow moose, a black bear, and a muley.
'10 drew a cow moose (shared) and a griz in 7-28...nada. But got a decent black bear on the island.
'11 drew a cow moose in 7-24 and son drew a bison at Pink Mountain...couldn't use either as I had to go overseas.
Last year...nada
This year...nada

Mule Deer Doe in 5-01, right in my backyard. Cheap way to put some meat in the freezer. Shut out on my other draws though. Went scouting one of my honey holes tonight, 3 mulie bucks (one was a monster!), one MD doe and one WT doe. All within 15mins from home!
