Fishing on Van Isle the next few days.

Hi Guys,

Visiting Nanaimo area for next two days, and wondering if there is any decent fishing around right now. If I were home, I would probably be fly fishing for big pike or buzz-bombing lake trout. :)

The little lakes around town can be productive access to the bush around here is a pita. If you have. A float tube and a jeep/ suzuki pm me for more info

Caught a small trout out on Brannen lake last weekend, ocean fishing might be good up there I know it's fairly good South Island right now

We don't have Pike or Lake trout here, would be nice though. Anything around town is going to disappoint you if you were looking for those big types of fish you mentioned. For something big you will need to hit the ocean, other wise Westwood lake , long lake, or Brannen lake . Good luck
