Garmin lake maps for B.C

Just bought a new lowrance hds 5 gen 2 and it has a port for sd card . I am going to purchase the map for B.C lake and was wondering if anyone else had this and if it works.new to this so any advice will be helpful

The best way to know is to ask the guys of Lowrance and Garmin so You can get two educated opinions before buying, I think that Garmin and Lowrance are not compatible because of the firmware, I use Garmin Topo Canada with a Garmin GPS and it has all lakes and backroads, is great!

I am sorry I can't be of more help, But Lowrance is a prestige company and has great options on their website.
