It's the mystical spirit bear, was he accompanied by a unicorn or squatch ?

The last one of this size that was harvested was 20 years ago and is mounted in the Terrace-Kitimat Airport . . . was mistaken for a grizzly by a young hunter!

yea right........it was mistaken.......not, he new what he was doing, I watched that trial.......it was shot along a logging road, and because it was so tame and used to being photographed by every one it even had a name, (old Gimmpy) it probably was sitting on its butt looking at him when he shot it......

I was living there when that was shot, not likely a mistake... Great photos of this one he's gained some inches in the last couple years.

He looks really nice and chunky. I have heard there have been a few bears spotted around his stomping grounds, nice to see them coming out. There is a good sized one living around Rosswood, we saw him again last fall up in the berry patches.

Mistaken? He was shot off the kalum lake road then moved into the nelson valley where the "hunter" took pictures of him posing . The good ol people from the video stop helped out with that one. The bear was hiding in a freezer waiting to be shipped to the states.
