8-14 fall bear

So as per the regs, you can hunt black bear in region 8 on private land starting August 1. My buddy and I have access to private land in 8-14 and are thinking of planning a hunt. I've never been to that part of region 8 so I don't know if its worth it. Anyone care to correct me?

There's bears there, I guess it would depends what's in the fields at that time...It's a beautiful valley, the kettle river has awesome camp/swim/drift/ fish/canoe spots...when you get tired of the mosquitoes pop over to the okanagan valley for some water time, i think all the fruit tree spraying kills all the bugs:)

I'm more interested in skull/meat at this stage of the game. Didn't connect on my spring bear, don't want to waste the tag if possible. Plus, gives me more time in the field hunting!
