What exactly does closed "up from 216th" mean? Is that towards the pitt river or the other way towards 232nd? Thanks.

Upriver, towards 224th and Maple Ridge Park. Also, cannot fish directly West of 216th, private property. The guy actually has river bottom rights, the only time I have ever heard of this.

It also mentioned "north alouette" being closed. So Harris Rd bridge is fine then? Also is fresh water licence ok?

If it is not tidal then yes fresh water is ok. Quite often you can be in a tidal section of river and require a Saltwater liscense. But for the most part if its a river its freshwater....

no idea about your area though.
Take your fly rod up to some of the lakes in Merrit this weekend!

If you play your cards right!
My wife did not fish before me. She would get mad when i was fishing all the time..... She learned! Now she is a better caster then anyone i know, out fishes me and suggest we drive 45 minutes for a 2 hour evening bit on the river when its good....
