Best and easiest way is to open a photobucket account and upload your photos there. Then you can copy the URL or the image itself and post it up. Easy stuff.

Wow, great pictures.
Just one problem...that many elk in one area exceed the carrying capacity of the land.
Why don't you show me where they are and I will thin out the heard a little.

So what was involved to get the cell phone cam up and running. Is it as easy as loading back road maps onto a garmin rhino GPS cause if its that easy I don't know if I can go through it again.

the hardest part was setting up a pay as you go account on rogers, and this was done online at home, other than that it was easy I had it all set up at home after work in an evening, if it keeps working as good as it has I will be buying more

Nice picts!!

It sucks that you can only use Rogers for Cell cams here in Canada.

I'm dumbfounded in the fact you are able to go all that way to reset it on the drop of a hat, or trail cam, so to speak.
Bet ya wish ya had the diesel still for all that driving.

I bring my phone to make sure I have good cell coverage in the area. It costs me $15 a month on a pre paid cell plan, cheap really as long as it helps me harvest an animal

There is lots of makers out there with cell cameras; Spypoint, Uway, Scoutgard, Covert just to name a few. The biggest thing for us here in BC is you need to have at least 2 bars and be with Rogers as they are the only ones with GPRS/MMS, which is what the cameras use. The other problem is a lot of the cameras send a small 320x240 size pic, then you have to inlarge it, hence the pixilation on elk picture. But they are making them better apparently.

Lol.... Thanks for the polite reply. I didn't expect the tone to be considered subliminal.

Please take note, I take issue with the use of this technology During the hunting season. The amount of effort you put into scouting is irrelevant in this context.

This could open up a pretty good debate, if only it could stay civil.

And an important debate. Legislation has a habit of being reactive. With the rapid pace of technological developments these days, ethical consideration and subsequent legislation dealing with new tools for hunting has little chance of keeping up with the bandwagon.

Montana had the foresight to ban the use of this technology during the hunting season Before it become popular with those looking for an edge.

Ground based and remote controlled hobby aircraft live feed cameras IMO contravene the principals of "fair chase".

ya, easy when it works.
my photobucket is totally F'ed.
every single pic now has the same code.
emailed them, they responded saying they'll try to find what's wrong.
nothing's happened and they won't respond to any emails now.
plus, photobucket is so slow.
I love imageshack, but it doesn't seem to like hbc, or viceversa.

It is an interesting debate, another one that will pit hunters against hunters.....and the only one who win will be the anti's.
