Contrary to popular belief, cold wet weather is detrimental to duckling and gosling survival. Those fuzzy little coats they wear don't shed water like feathers do. K

High river water and seepage good for food but nesting can be lost but lots of rain can be hard on them

True wintering birds will we have a lot of Alaskan birds. Lesser, cackling, mallards and pintails. Lots of local honkers and ducks but some stay some take off. Woodies for instance.

The pothole areas of this province are brood spots. All through the interior and northward. Quilchena lake bands alot of summer birds. Know guys down this flyway that have taken quilchena mallards. Cali and Washington.

All around Williams lake and to the coast divers like to nest there. Same around kamloops all the small lakes. Divers and seaducks head inland to nest. Find harlequin up on the mountain streams through the chilliwack to manning area all through there. Seaducks nest inland and head to the coast every fall early
