Well after a very long waite our new Lab came to our home a week ago. He is a blond male from Burns lake. Well its been a busy week for us. After 2 nights he has the crate all figured out and he is sleeping for 6 to 7 hours at night. He is busy exploring and chewing and chewing. I am looking for any tips on training or maybe a web link to some training.
Cheers
Mike

Mike, you will need to upload them somewhere else first (facebook, photobucket, etc) and then, right click on that image and select 'copy image location. Then come back to HBC and click the little photo icon (looks like a tree in a picture frame) immediately about the text box when you are replying here, and into the url box you will right-click and hit 'paste'. Un-check the little box below. That should do it. Hopefully that helps, congrats on the new pup!

You can never go to wrong buying a lab. What body style is he? I prefer the thick blocky "english" style over the thin fast "american" style. The yellows are usually the english style. I like Burkes name.

Hi Thank you to everyone who wants to help with the pictures. I will email you tonight and send the pictures. Burke is a English yellow lab from Candice Little at Tchesinkut Labrador kennels. At 11 weeks old Burke is Crate trained and house trained but omg does he like to chew.He is doing a few retrieves in the house already.
Cheers

I've never owned a lab...but I've never talked with anyone who said theirs didn't shed quite a bit.

Anyone got a lab who sheds just a little?

Thank you for the positve comments on Burke. And yes he sheds a lot.He can from Burns Lake B.C and here in Kamloops the weather is a wee bit warmer. But I love the breed and I can put up with the sheding.

My "brown dog" Taz hardly sheds at all don't even notice it amongst all the Spaniel and Golden hair lol. Nice pup going to make a fine partner for you.

outside dogs don't shed quite as much as inside dogs.First chocolate lab was outside kennel till she was 6yr only shed twice a year. After that she was spoiled inside dog(new wife's fualt)and shed all the time. second chocolate lab inside dog shed all the time.
