Not far off!! That place has become so popular almost everyone and their dog now heads in there, especially at that time of year. Most are hunting elk/moose but seems they all carry sheep tags just in case. I already know of a couple other large groups (up to 8 guys) flying in late august. The packer now caters to a lot of sheep hunters and they have put a good dent in the sheep numbers up there, to the point where you have to travel a fair ways from the lake to find the rams. The local outfitter has all but abandoned his camp at the lake due the resident pressure now. Certainly a great place for elk and moose but for the expense of a sheep hunt (assuming that is what you are going for), I would probably consider other quieter areas. The lake is at the eastern edge of the rockies and therefore also the eastern edge of Stone's Sheep range so the numbers aren't great anyways. That being said Urs flies out at least one ram every year.

Everyone and their dog?You make it sound like it's full of "roadhunters" around every corner....it's big country in there,lot's of game and minimal foot pressure...if it wasn't good no one would be in there!
