I loaded them up in two .308's, .300 win mag, and .300 RUM. I couldn't get a sub MOA group in any of them. Great grouping in .308's with the Hornady 168 Amax though...The one gun shot under 1/2 MOA groupings.

I tried them in my 270 wsm. 130gr. I couldn't get then to group very well either. I couldn't get good velocity with then either without getting too much case pressure. I just wanted to try them though but went back to Barnes TSX.

They shot great out my .308 win 150 gr e-tip 46.5 gr Varget .05 of the lands @ 2850 3/4 groups I shot two 6 point elk with them. They were on sale about 6 years ago two for one so $35.00 for100 tough to pass up at Russel sports they went out of business I think whole sale sports bought them out any how does not mater. The E-tip has better B.C than the Barnes bullet. I am not bashing Barnes I have shot them since there first generation bullet. It was Nosler E-tips were on sale. I still use Barnes 95 gr in my .243 They are the XLC I think I have 45 left .

tried the 7mm 150's in a 280, groups were eratic and fouling seemed awful. 150gr TSX on the other hand shot very well

Using 140's in my wife's 7-08, groups are .60 avg at 100, virtually no vertical variation, just horizontal...Moved out to 310 yards, shot a three shot group that measured 1.27 inches, again, virtually no vertical variation, just horizontal. I'm impressed so far, i replaced the old barnes 130 BT's as we finally shot the last of them...YMMV

Thank you all for your replies. My fears were fouling and erratic and it looks also justified .Just thinking about going full speed to lead free as it seems the way to go.Heard lots of good things about Barnes LRX but hard to find.

although I haven't personally shot a GMX yet, the 30cal 165gr is very popular, especially in these Barnes-drought times

If you want, go to gunnutz and find my thread nosler photos. I have some penetration and expansion photos from some e-tips and an accubond.
i don't have the photos anymore so I can't post them here.
