Salting a hide

Hope this is the right forum.

Going bear hunting again soon, hope i get something this time. I want to keep the hide.

What salt to use?
Where to buy it?

hmmm non iodized free flowing fine salt...I get my bags at the feed store...they come in 40?44 pound bags... cheap

Yep that's the stuff. Make sure you turn them lips, ears, get the paws out to the last knuckle and I use lots of salt. Why mess around with minimum amounts when it's cheep!
