Well I haven't been lucky enough to draw a Grizz tag in my hometown since 2005. I went after a Black Bear this spring, first Blackie I've shot in 5 years. 217yds, Browning X-bolt, 325wsm, 180gr nosler ballistic tip, 3-9x40 Zeiss w/Rapid Z600. No follow up shot needed, one and done.
April 26 2013. I was in a hurry to get back to town for work I didn't look at the bears head until I turned on the camera. I knew he was a good bear and am happy with him. Now to help my buddy out with his Grizz draw.

Ears look wide apart on that big noggin. What's your pans for him?

Pepperoni time. Boil out the skull, good for the cabin. Probably just tan the hide I have "too many"(wife's words) rugs already.

Good job, especially that early for that country.

A nice dome betwixt the ears is always a good thing.....
