CORE course in Highschool - anyone have info?

Has anyone got there CORE through a course in highschool?

I am more interested in recent courses that maybe your children have/are taking.

If you could let me know school/district that would be great.

Man I can just imagine the pandemonium that would cause these days. Pulling out a bag of deactivated weapons to train your class on would result in a SWAT team visit and district-wide lockdown here!

There was a teacher in Kelowna who presented the CORE program a couple years back. Don't know if he's still doing it

Yes. We ran it 2 years ago for interested students and parents. It wasnt a formal part of a course. We held it on the weekends in a similar manner to night school courses. Had 12-15 in the class.

Next year we will offer it as a suppliment to our Outdoor Recreation course. (4 extra credits) At this point it looks like we will find an alternative location however for the gun handling component. If proper communication is involved there won't be any 'pandemonium'.
