Went looking for bears this weekend. Friday, I saw a nice fat 6+ footer with a bright coat at 10 yards, he bolted and dove into deep thick bush. Couldn't connect on him.
Sunday 9am I was heading down from mid alpine and saw movement in a swamp at about 700 yards. Put up my binos and see two moose on the edge. I think they knew I was there because they quickly moved into the brush so I could only take a few quick pics with my cheap pocked cam on max zoom.
