Good shot, they don't usually sit on a feeder.

lately the humming birds have been flying around and checking us out on the deck during smoke breaks.

they fly right up and hover around someone standing on the porch then take off

they fly right up and hover around someone standing on the porch then take off I actually think they are pretty intelligent. We have them do the same when the feeder is M/T. Sometimes buzzing a person with indignation.
I like it when there are several Rufus males around, you get some spectacular aerial antics and dive bombing that culminates in a sharp audible sound. I saw a video of that and the poster/researcher said that the audible was made with the wings.

Coulda really used a fill flash on a couple, but my camera can't gun in rapid frame with the flash, at least not that I'm aware of. Coulda tried to get lucky with a single frame I guess, but didn't think of it.

NICE I am tryin to figure out a way to test out my new game camera and get pictures of these lil guys at the same time lol...If I find a configuration on my tiny deck (apartment) I will load up the pictures :)
