So I bought this really clean old Cooey 12g a few weeks ago, the guy I bought it from gave me the trigger lock and one key with the gun. I went to Cambodian Tire last night and bought a box of shells and some clays, me and a couple buds where going to go and have a bit of fun. We get all ready to go and I check to make sure I have the right keys for the trigger lock, it's gone of my key ring, cant find it anywhere F%^ck!. Look everywhere cant find it, try all my other keys nope don't work F%^CK!!. Stomp around the house looking in all the stupid places I may have dropped/lost the key, can't find it F#^CK!!!!
So long story short how do I go about either a. geting the lock off, or b. getting a new key. I m really going to have to pay a lock smith to take the lock off? Will they even do that?
Thanks for the help QK

Hammer and a screw driver usually takes under a minute to break one.

I hear good things about a flat screw driver and a little muscle.
Once the lock is clear of the trigger, make sure to throw it as far as you can into the bush.......

On those old cooeys, can you just unscrew the trigger guard? I know you can on the 22s

Thanks you guys you are champs. I alway wondered how "safe" a trigger lock was. Clearly not very safe at all according to the video.

Get a combo lock or remember the key number for your locks, if you know the key number it's easy to find a matching key

After a couple of trips into the bush only to discover I'd forgot the key to my trigger lock I found a nice deep hole in the river and threw them all in then went and bought some combination locks.
