Hey guys,

I am heading to Texada Island to scout for the deer for the coming season and maybe get some bear while i am there. I guess next question will be are there bears on Texada Island? How about other critters for target practice?

Your help is greatly appreciated

Thanks
Amar

No black bears or wolves or cougars on Texada. Only predators there are bald eagles and racoons and humans.

Might as well get some deer while you're here.
Plus some bear while you're there.

No need to waste your time scouting for deer this time of year on Texada. There aren't many, if any bears there so you will probably strike out on them. Better head to pender habour area, bigger deer, some elk and good black bear. If the weather is good it is a beautiful place to visit.

Powell River can be good, some bruiser bears there with no pressure.

I had a really tough go of it on texada two years ago. Didn't seem like anything was moving during daylight. Was the end of the season so maybe they're not so spooky early on.
