Any word on conditions up Squamish River/ Elaho area? Looking to get out for some bear hunting, this weekend. Is there still alot of snow up there yet? Thanks

thinks its good to go, have driven past the first bridge by mile 27? no snow low and bears are up and about

My buddies got 3 bears last weekend up there. You can get almost to the end of the valley if not all the way now. Bears are running everywhere.

went up this saturday, got to around the 28 mile mark and my dads truck sh!t the bed.
ended up walking 6 miles until i could convince someone to give me a ride back until i found service to call a tow truck..
great first hunting trip of the year:p

flood warning for squamish river

Squamish river FSR is under water. My buddy barely got out Sunday afternoon, road was under water and SAR was already starting to helicopter people out. Guess there's a few vehicles staying out there until the road is fixed. I bet there will be a bunch of bears out on the road in a few days.

River was high when i was there Saturday but didn't think it would close the road

Was up there Saturday maybe to the 30 mile mark but it was still ok.

the road was closed Sunday, was up yesterday to mile 34 and it's good to go

What exit do you take to get there? Is the one just before the Esso gas station? We usually take that one but it's always full of people on motor bikes. Hard to hunt when they racing around you.

squamish valley road is across the hwy from alice lake rd. Past Squamish and brakendale

was there on saturday and went past the 45 mile mark and up to the fork that lets you go up to the alpine. hit snow shortly after. all i saw were 2 grouse, no luck seeing any bear.
