The hunting is great up around horsefly lots of moose for LEH and some of the best muley hunting there is in BC ,some monsters taken up along the caribo mountain range. Land and housing in likely and hoursefly are very cheap in price range. There is a lake near the caribo mt range it is called gost lake ,that was reall hot for moose and deer when i hunted there years ago. hunter 1947.

No, no, you don't want to come up here. You might not have any tags left at the end of the year!!!! (just kidding)

There is awesome hunting all over that area, but the only drawback is the moose is LEH. Incredible deer hunting. And if you are into birds, the grouse hunting is great, at least it was this year.

Like Swamper said hunting is great and there are dozens of good lakes to fish.

If you want to live with the horseflies in the summer then welcome. I spent a Month there last summer, building a shop for an Outfitter I know. We stomped around lots scouting etc. Beutiful country, good animal populations on everything but caribou.... Just brutal flies and bugs when It gets hot.

The deer hunting is great there. We have been going for about 6 yrs now and the truck comes home loaded down each year. The people are friendly too. If you need a good butcher while up there let me know and I will give you the name. The moose is not bad but it does get harder to find them as the season gets later.

Been going up to this area since 93. Taken some nice bucks over the years but the last couple have been getting crowded this other hunters. Almost all of them from the island. We think its the gas prices, people don't want to put out the cash to go farther north.
