I was invited on a trip this year on the Prophet river, was wondering if anyone can give me some input as to weather it's runable or not, and what kind of river it is like, Ive been running the Murrey river a fair bit....not sure if they are similar in size or not....if anyone has any pictures of the Prophet river, it would be appreciated......
thanks, Ron

One of my Favorite Rivers, lots of invisible rocks, shallow bars, and tight Braids, in the lower waters of Fall lol. Don't see a lot of other boaters on the Prophet. There are only a handfull of locals that spend any time above Tenaka Creek area.

Thanks for posting the videos. They are great.

This is something I've never done. I suppose you'd bring along a lot of duct tape? :)

Thanks for the great videos, looks like a fun river to run, not to bad.....was the water high when you were running in the video or is that low water level?
where do you guys launch? I was told to meet my buddies at 205 mile, not sure if it's possible to launch there, my buddies aren't jet boaters so not to sure if they know what there talking about when it comes to jet boating...any info you can share is appreciated...
cheers, Ron

Those vids are from late summer, early fall. Water is a little on the high side, but dropping. I think those vides were from different years as well. There are a few launches around 200 mile, but normally I put into the Muskwa, and go from there. I find that the river is much "quieter" below the Prophet Campground Area, fewer quaders.
There sure are some nice spots further up though.

Any word on how far up a small shallow water rock crusher type boat with mentally unstable driver can make it?

Can you get to roughly two hours @ 30 miles an hour above mile 205 by boat you think?
Thanks Rock Doctor

i would think that at 30 mph, in two hours, you'd get about 60 miles.

I've been about 9hrs up from the mouth. Herb Leaks ranch is about 6hrs up. It's been a long time since I was much past Herbs Ranch.
