I was sorting through more of my father's pictures the other day and I came across some photos of his duck hunts down in Cuba. I know he made 2 trips down there and thoroughly enjoyed them both. They also had some good dove shooting down there too. There sure are a lot off spoonbills and blue wing teal there. I think I see a few cinnamon teal too, there's a Ruddy Duck at the bottom centre of the second picture.
Some of you guys may recognize Doug Michie who was from Port Coquitlam and later did gunsmithing and custom rifle building up in Williams Lake.

These are at least 15-20 years old (or older), not sure how many guys were shooting but they sure whacked a lot of ducks!

Very cool. Cuba I think would be a very neat setting and backdrop to shot ducks in.

Ill be back in Mexico next feb chasing after all three teals cinnamon and blue winds especially, mottled ducks, fulvous ducks, full colour shovelers, rojos or redheads and of course black brant and a few other ducks we don't see here

In the bottom pic you can see a ruddy in the right hand bundle. The white birds and the bundle on the left (last picture) have curved bills, I guess they could shoot anything down there.

They look like shovelers to me. Thanks for sharing great pics. That turkey looks like it was crossed with a peacock pretty bird.
