tomorrow im goingto try my luck a a turkey,, I was doing some reading on bearded turkeys and such and came across that abouit 20% females have beards. Now if they are bearded are they fair game?are you also alload to shoot jakes, im not a trophy hunter just looking to try some different meat.. thanks for readingg

Bearded means bearded. Just like antler less means antler less. There are on some occasions that the wrong sex will meet the criteria they are trying to have harvested so that is why it doesn't say female or male

thanks backcountry bowhunter, one more question is there a min beard lenth it must have before you shoot or any little stuble is ok??

If you can make it out in the scope of your .17 HMR at 12 power at 160 yards, then it's a beard... :-)

If it has a beard then it's bearded, therefor you can shoot it.
