thought you all might enjoy some of my old photos. I grew up in Vermont and when I was a kid my folks were big into field archery. We went to shoots pretty much every weekend. This would have been in the 1950's. The photo below is of their archery club. My Dad is standing on the far left with the quiver strap across his chest. The sport has changed a bit over the years!!!!

The photo below was from 1957. My mother won the Vermont State Women's Championship that year. My father is standing next to her on the right and my cousin is next to him. The other two guys were good friends of theirs.

(http://smg.photobucket.com/user/stonebroke/media/archeryphoto-1_zpsad637ff2.jpg.html)This photo is where people would stick arrows they had found....anyone who had lost arrows would come here to look to see if anyone had found them. Everyone had kind of a signature crest and fletching so they could identify their arrows. Most people back then built their own arrows. My mother is holding me here and my sister is standing next to her. This would have been around 1954 I think..

Yeah. Thanks for sharing. I'm sure Greybark and Onesock competed with them back then. We raised our boys with the traditional lifestyle. Great for kids and families. Looking forward to the TBBC Championships in Rock Cr long weekend of May.
