Pretty much.. ha ha. Prince George used to get cold when I grew up there but the big minus 40 thing doesn't happen much any more. You will find there's different little climate zones in PG.. warmer to the south and west of town a fair bit as far as loosing snow in a timely manner goes

Dude, I used to rock the Columbus then the Generater with a crack ho under each arm. Way before that was cool. LOL

I've since read on the net that dusting one's balls helps hygene and odor. I'm think'n its the pulp mills.

You unfortunate fellow! The people in PG are driven mad by winter. Most spend 4 months clearing the snow off the driveway, then in a act of insanity wast 2 months shoveling it back on the driveway?? Just so they can wast time cutting grass when they could be fishing. (And; gas prices, potholes, blood sucking vermin right till freeze up.) 👍

Welcome to Peeg. I moved up here 2 years ago with my family.
I met quite a few guys from HBC already. Great bunch of individuals.
Noahdawg seems to be the touchstone and events organizer. (When's the first BBQ this year ND?)
One of the HBC'ers put me in front of my first moose last fall (10 min from home).
Keep in touch. Regards.

Tell me more about the BBQ!

You guys make your own baked beans from scratch? It takes a long time, but it sure is worth the effort!

And what about the BBQ bear, do you hot smoke it for 8-10 hours with hickory and then crank the heat up to cook it right the way through? *drools*

I love slow cooked pork butt roast. I put some seasoned moose brisket and ribs in the smokehouse last October and hot smoked for about 9 hours. I brought the pieces in and put one in a cast iron dutch oven with a bit of red wine and threw it in the oven at 300 for another 8 hours or so. The result (prior to the oven - I have no post pictures):

Those were Bow zones beans, and they were good!! Hope they show up again this year! I seem to have good luck after a bush shit when hunting, so maybe Dawgs corn beef hash will be a mainstay in the camp menu!! Moosin

Property taxes keep going up, worst roads in B.C.and a very high crime rate. I can't wait to sell my house and get out of this shit hole. On the other hand I have enjoyed a lot of hunting though.

:-Dlemadil, don't be discouraged by a few that may have a bad taste in their mouth about Prince, It has its faults for sure but there are some awesome people here, you will soon find out you have a lot of friends you haven't yet. The PG HBC chapter is a good start.:-D

A few minutes in any direction you can unload your quad and not hit the same road/trail twice all day.
LOTS of country up here.
I don't get that crime bit though. I spent 15 years in Kelowna. Multiple, armed robberies, stabbings, murders, big ticket thefts every year.
You don't hear of that up here much at all.
Maybe people just don't report crime as much down South? I'd like to see how those stats are figured.
I used to leave my truck unlocked in Kelowna because it was broken into so much. This was in a secure underground park lot.

Lemadil, home is where you make it. PG is ok, you will have friends here soon enough. Most hunting folks around here are good people, and most of the time they will give you the shirt off their backs. Remember this and pay it forward when you can, and your life will be fine here. Welcome, when you get here give me a PM. We can meet and I'll see if I can point you in a good direction to go play. I am born and raised here so I know a spot or 2 around town to go find critters!
