I'd agree with the rest of these fine intelligent members. Spring blackies are about as easy as it gets.....

Easiest to hunt...........Cougars over 40 !

Easiest to kill is any deer, whitetail, blacktail or mule deer, they mostly drop in there tracks !

I voted black bear, but after re-reading the question: Which big game animal is the easiest to kill ? I would change and go with sitka blacktail. Those little buggers drop pretty easy when you shoot them. Black bears on the other hand can be a little tough at times and like to run into thick bush if not hit just right.

If you were to line each one up and shoot them all in the same place at the same time I would bet the sitka would die first. Now easiest to hunt in BC is the black bear.

I have to vote bull elk. Definatly the easiest for me in my area. Now if I move out of my home area I would give a different answer but that just doesn't happen to often.

I picked black bear due to the spring hunt. I've taken a few new hunters out and have had good success when the bears are out eating along roadsides and clearcuts in the spring. Bears are often to busy chomping down on grass and give little attention to anything else. Most of the shots are less than 75 yards.
Gives the new hunter plenty of time and a good range for a clean kill.

Edit: the fact a guy can see a dozen black bear an evening(where I'm from anyways) helps too!:) If things don't work out on the first stalk... just drive around the corner, there's probably another bear to go after.

Black bear for sure.
Best way for a new hunter to cut his or her teeth.

In fact, our club recently put on a bear hunting seminar and one of the guys who put on the seminar took out a new bear hunter and the new bear hunter whacked a 7' brown phase in the first 15 minutes. Easy peazy:-D.

In general have to say black bear. But if a person wins a Mule doe LEH for october then it doesn't get much easier. With a well placed bullet both will drop pretty quick.

If I could hunt from my porch, it would be elk but they are not open. However in the bush .... I'll see how this year goes.

Hands down tree stand hunted whitetail.
Best opportunity for a youth to learn about whitetail.

I will add to my vote of black bear. Spring bear is much easier than a fall bear due to is very predictable habits and lower elevations.

I said Mule Deer. It doesn't say buck so I assume you mean doe's too? I could just about get a doe every time I go out if I wanted to.

But if you mean bucks only then I would change my answer to Black Bear

Anyone who voted for anythings else than sitka deer clearly hasn't been to the charlottes.... an island.... with deer.... and bears are the only predators.... its polluted with deer.

This poll isn't fair. You forgot farmers cow, For the people that actually do shoot them.

I had to vote whitetail. Where I hunt on the mainland, you can pretty much take one at your leisure with a rifle. And even when I'm bow hunting, pretty easy to fill a tag. Agree with JT, great animal to go after if your trying to introduce a youth or new hunter to big game hunting.

I voted Black bears, as I could have harvested plenty if I wanted to. When I hunted 7-27 I must have seen 10 black bears a day, wish i had of bought two tags, to help take the pressure off the moose, come calving season.

True, but if you don't live there getting there is more difficult than going out in most of BC and finding a black bear, that's why I voted black bear, pretty good chances all around the province no matter where you live

From my experience, for all options in the poll (easy to difficult):
Sitka Black-tailed Deer: Surprisingly low in vote; these deer are the easiest big game if you go to Haida Gwaii and you can almost murder them with a spear. Both doe and bucks are easy.
Mule Deer Doe Tag: Free meat in the freezer.
White-tailed Doe Open Season: Free meat in the freezer (Region 4)
Black Bear: If not picky on size or colour phase, bears are plentiful throughout the provincial; as a Vancouverite I can find bear within 2 hrs from my home.
Columbia Black-tailed Doe: Campbell River used to be easy, not anymore.
Mule Deer Buck Open Season: Not very easy, you need a honey hole.
White-tailed Buck Open Season: Region 4 is the way to go.
Moose: You need a honey hole and a shared tag, otherwise go to 7B and try your luck in open season.
Elk: Hardest thing about this is to draw the tag...
Bison: Same as above, plus ATV/UTV is required.
Caribou, Goat and Sheep: Never hunted any of these three, but would like to give a try if tag drawn.

Black bear, perhaps antlerless deer in an open season.

Group of 6 WT bucks in my front yard having coffee with me this morning, Papa wanted to bet which mature buck (3 of 6) will be a shooter this fall. I could just about spray paint a target on them right now. Very regional though, tons of BB on surrounding slopes as well.

Guess depends on the area, Prince George, black bear ( see more bears than grouse ) numbers are high. Saw 7 last night in 40 km of logging road.
