So my plans to hunt south of Merrit were thwarted by low snow. In Kelowna visiting a friend and regrouping. The weather looks better just north of Kelowna but don't know many areas - heard Beaver Lake might be a starting point, curious if anyone has any pointers on what FSR's to research or rough areas supposed to head out in the AM

Thanks guys!!

Still Snow up that neck of the woods I would imagine. Your gonna want to stick to low elevation in the valleys if possible.

some spots out along Hwy 6 look promising. bring snowshoes. some Boars are up, but i doubt they're straying far from their dens.

Been all over Trinity Valley, Mabel Lake, Kettle, Hidden Lake... no sign anywhere...
Lots of green fields out Hidden LAke area, no bears yet. Low elevation and South slopes - as noted... Thats where to start... soon...

Yeah you know, I want to put my boots on the ground and camp out mainly, the bears would be a plus :) I guess I dont' know a ton of valleys over here but will try Beaver Lake area and hike around tomorrow and if it is dead try somewhere new for Sat. And yes - south facing and west facing have the least snow. Normally I'd head south but just by looking there is more snow south than north at least in the immediate, oddly.

Thanks boys!
