Pretty good. Bears are usually territorial

All depends! If the bear was young could been pushed out by something bigger or moved on to greener pastures. But from what I seem if you have seen a bear in the spring now you probley can count on seeing by clock work in the same area as fall if there is water and food.

Depends mainly on food sources. There is not much choice for them early spring. They should be close though. Just check areas with fresh grass and skunk cabbage. Also keep in mind they rut in the spring so it can help if you know where a few sows hang out

Spring bears are highly consentrated in greening up areas. Fall is completely different type of bear hunting. First the bears will spread out from the valley floor to the tops of the mountains. Many will follow the berries, some will go to salmon rivers, Not to many actually stay in the same areas from spring to fall. I am not to sure where people are getting their information.
