That really is an incredible bear. As much as I would love to see one on the wall, I would love just to see one in the wild. Cool looking bear. Thanks for posting.

He's big for sure... but I'm really not a fan of his colouring. Cool and unique none the less.

In Alberta you can shoot the white ones. My bud has shot 3 white color phase bears up on the Peace river near the BC border.

should fatten up pretty quickly, there's some grass starting to green up and lots of skunk cabbage shoots in the ditch along the side of the highway

That's what my Dad mentioned when he drove back from Rupert this weekend. Also said there looked to be a few hunting camps lower skeena. possibly guy hunting Grizz he figured.

Haven't seen any blatant hunting camps... CN rail workers are really busy all along there right now. Not saying there wasn't/isn't hunting camps. Just made that drive today... but yeah.

that one at Cedarville is another Kermode that likes to pose as old gimpy did, eh?:) Our second oldest son was on his first bear hunt and the first bear we see is a black mom with two Kermode cubs, he was so excited. It's all he talked about for days. Of course no camera either. That was in the Cedar river drainage.
