Bored today and in PG?

If you like to hunt the offseason with your camera you might want to take a drive around buckhorn lake/george mtn area (south east PG) this afternoon. just buzzed around in the helicopter and counted over 30 moose, out soaking up the sun in the cutblocks.

Hey Amphy, nice way to wile away a few hours! I have been stuck in a fire hall over Xmas, wishing I was somewhere else. How is the snow depth up there so far?

This is an exceptional year for snow. Just north of town there is a solid 4 feet. That is without gaining too much elevation, up in the hills there is easily double that.

not sure about snow depth, I just try to dig the skids in untill it's on it's belly ;)

good year for wolves too, seen 2 packs, pack of 8 near buckhorn lake, and another pack of 16 near stoner.

lots of snow east of town, but that's pretty normal.
