I'm in the market for a new pair of boots and would like to try on a pair of the Lowa hunter gtx evo extreme boots. It seems like they don't exist in BC. Does anybody know of a place that might have some in stock? I will also be heading down to Seattle soon and was told that REI might have some?? Thanks.

REI does stock them but my suggestion would be to go to REI when you are in Seattle and fit them...then shop online. There are quite a few retailers that discount them quite a bit. My GF bought hers on Monday from REI but she had to get a narrow cut and wasn't able to find them anywhere else....had to pay retail.

Thanks for the heads up. I have heard good things about the Lowa's but still unsure if they could top my old Canada Pros.

They are quality boots, but boot fit is highly subjective. Everyone has different feet.

A few places have the Hunter GTX but I'm trying to find the new Hunter EVO GTX. I phoned Lathrop and Sons today and the new EVO's are hard to find still and probably not available in Canada yet. I might have to go with the Hunter GTX though so it's good to know that WS has some. Thanks.

I get my Lowa Hunter Extreme from Baker's Shoe's in Oregon. I have had their boots within a week of ordering on my door step.

Havn't heard of Lowa making the evo unless you're referring to La Sportiva brand?

It's a new model called the Lowa Hunter Evo Extreme GTX. They have improved the mid soul and I guess the rand is a bit higher. A few other minor changes as well. I don't think it's on the website yet but it does exist...well at least in the US anyway.

I think WSS langley may have them. I just bought a pair of Scarpa active SL's. http://www.scarpa.com/scarpa/products/TRAIL-BACKPACKING/p_61001-351 from my research they are a fairly similar boot to the lowa's. which were what I was looking for in the first place... for my feet and after the last couple weekends stoping around town wearing them they fit great! (just another option) bugger all in vancouver for places to buy decent boots right now...

Just bought a pair of LOWA Renegades II from All Star in Terrace. They have other models as well. Try 'em. They aren't the cheapest, but not the highest.
