N E Montana Muley

Thought you all might like to see a muley a friend of mine shot last fall in NE Montana... Mitch's buck was 33" wide and grossed 208" green. I havent' heard a final score on it.

A once in a lifetime buck!! About as big as they get for typicals....Ok so maybe another 12 or 13 inches...So sue me..LOL

Yes, Mitch said it should end up somewhere in the top 10 for typicals taken in Montana.... We can thank our neighbors to the north (Saskatchewan) for this buck and many others taken over the years. They tend to wander down some years searching for does and get picked off. I believe many come out of the Grasslands National Park which is right on the border. My largest Muley was taken right along the Saskatchewan border north of the house here a few years back, but it wasn't as big as this one!!!

Mitche's buck is the biggest one I've seen taken around here. I've seen some dandies, but his buck is pretty special.

I mostly hunt whitetails, but I ran into this buck a few years back about a mile from the Saskatchewan Border and couldn't pass him up. This is my best Muley... He's not in the same league as Mitch's, but he's pretty nice. I was very happy to be able to put my tag on him.
