My dad was out for a hike a couple days ago and came upon a freshly killed yearling calf elk. There were cougar tracks around. We went there that evening and set up my trail cam. Next day we checked it and the calf was gone with only a pic of a cougars chin and whiskers ( piece of crap Simmons camera!, I've had this problem since new). There was although a fresh killed 2yr old cow elk within 100yds of the calf! Last night we went and put up my Stealth cam on the cow. This morning there were 650 pics of a cougar and her 2 kittens which are good sized as you can see in the pic. Gonna take a lot of deer and elk to keep them 3 cougars fed.

Thanks for sharing, that's the way nature works. With any luck this type of activity will still be occurring long after all of us are dirt!

Those are some nice sized kittens there! Sad to see the elks down, but glad to see there are enough to support a Cougar with her kittens
