Phone Survey about hunting?

I was out in the yard on the weekend and my wife answered a call. Somebody said they were from the provincial government and wanted to ask me some questions about my hunting season. She said to call back in ten minutes but they never did. Has anyone else received such a call? Is it legitimate? I filled out the survey form they sent me and sent it back a few weeks ago.

They called my house and asked for my son. When I said he was only 15 they said sorry and they will take him off the list.
