Im hunting on a couple of permits in my area and needed a new feeder in a hurry so I built one yesterday..

30 gallon steel drum, ammo box, ebay 4 channel wireless remote, princess auto 12 volt motor, 1-1/2 exhaust tubiing
heater fan resistor, & 4 channel relay...

I bought a 4 channel wireless remote of Ebay a few years ago and had it kicking around. Every thing else
I had or could pick up cheap. The thing I did learn the hardway was these little wireless units will only run a max of 10 amps
and I used a adjustable resistor to slow the motors speed. This introduced too much resistance into the circuit and this let the
magic black smoke out of the relay on channel one, so on to relay channel number two. It also smoked the adjustable resistor
I was using to slow the motor. I managed to find a cheap automotive heater motor resistor that seems to work fine.

The motor I pocked up at princess auto for 9.99 ya gota love princess auto. I figure I have about 100.00 dollars into the
feeder..

Looks like a good setup, but why a remote instead of a timer.

Its all I had kicking around and it will be at the location for a while and used on a daily basis. I can simply
walk in prior to light ring the dinner bell and wait in a blind for the vermin to show up..
