Has any one tried the Razor spotters? They sound to be pretty good. I was just checking out vortex's website and they are coming out with the 65mm lens this year. Little lighter than the 80mm and should be good for sheep hunting. Any suggestions good or bad? Thanks

Ive only handled samples of the 16-48x65 but they're really nice! I demo'd a 20-60x80 last year and the glass is top notch. Should be a great alternative to the big 3 for a quality scope for an affordable price point. I'm currently using a 15-45x65 Viper and am very happy with it, but may upgrade to the Razor this summer if I get a goat draw or go sheep hunting

Right on. Yeah the vipers are nice but I think I might as well spend some more money and get something a little higher end...The razor scopes look pretty nice and I'm stoked about the 65mm cause I have been eyeing up the 80mm for a long while but was hesitant about size/weight. Thanks

if you get a chance to check out their new Razor 11-33x50mm spotter, do so. Cute little thing with wicked glass. Not an ideal sheep scope, but a real handy piece to stuff in a daypack

Had a look at the new Razor 65mm very impressed, so I just ordered one yesterday.

I have the 85 mm. Great scope but the size and weight is a bit of an issue. It's all a trade off though.

Went with a Nikon fieldscope iii ed and have been happy with that. Heavier than the razor but the all aluminum body makes it super robust. Good clear image and goes well with the 30x wide eyepiece. The size of the razor makes it an attractive option. Have a look at the Nikon ed50, it's the bird lovers number 1 portable spotter that gets great reviews.
