I have never been charged by a bull moose, been false charged by a couple cows with calves in the spring. I have shot a bull at 8 y and had a couple clients shoot moose inside 10 yards.....

Wow....What a tough old moose to have lost all that blood and still the CO's had to hit it some more. I wonder why it stopped stomping on him.

Thats half the reason I carry a gun while scouting .
One half is all the bears, cougars and yotes we have around here , the other half is all the moose sign I constantly come across.
Ive never had an altercation with an angry animal , but its reassuring that I could throw a bunch of lead if I need to .

My Dad had his arse handed to him by a cow moose a few years back. Although he was nowhere near as bad as this gentleman was, his back, butt and back of his legs were covered in BAD bruising from the stomping hooves.

They sure can lay a beating when they want/need to.
