Met Duckbuster at his place just after 5am and we headed out to the field. Got the decoys set up and just after shooting light had our first pair come over. We each took one and it was a good start to a great day. The rest of the morning, we had pairs, three's, and fours come in. We missed a couple here and there but for the most part we both shot well. We ended up with 15 geese for the day. Was my second hunt of a layout blind. Man, what a fun way to hunt. Jamie did a great job calling and had the geese coming right in on top of us. And he's drilling it into me the importance of waiting till they are close. Nothing like having the birds only feet off the ground and inside the decoys before you let em know you're there. Awesome day!!!
